Hi, I'm Nicola Francis, and I write cosy mysteries filled with village gossip, unlikely friendships, suspicious neighbours, and the occasional murder.

The Oakridge Mysteries began with a simple idea: what if a picture-perfect English village was hiding far more secrets than anyone realised? What started as a single story quickly grew into a series, fuelled by my love of character-driven mysteries, witty dialogue, and communities where everyone knows everyone else's business.

When I'm not writing, I'm usually spending time with my family, reading, planning future mysteries, or thinking about new ways to make life difficult for Maya Thorne and her friends. I'm incredibly grateful to every reader who has joined me on this journey, and I hope each visit to Oakridge feels like catching up with old friends... even if one of them has just discovered a body.
